ANKARA (AA) – Turkish Security forces "neutralized" 10 YPG/PKK terrorists in northern Iraq, the National Defense Ministry said on Monday.
Five more terrorists were “neutralized” in the Operation Claw-Lock zone, which raised the number of “neutralized” terrorists in the region to 10, the ministry said in a statement.
A Turkish soldier succumbed to his injuries from a terror attack in Ankara’s anti-terror operation zone in northern Iraq, Turkish authorities said on Monday.
Abdullah Kose, who was wounded on Nov. 20, later died from the injuries he sustained in a clash with terrorists in the Operation Claw-Lock area, the Ministry said in a statement.
Turkish authorities use the term "neutralize" to imply the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and EU – has been responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
