UPDATE WITH MORE DAILY FIGURE

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed Thursday at 1,428.13 points, down 0.18% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 1,434.72 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 2.60 points from Wednesday's close of 1,430.73 points.
During the day, the index's value hovered between 1,411.52 points and 1,441.15 points -- 35 stocks on the index rose, 59 fell, and six remained flat compared to Wednesday.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 1 trillion Turkish liras ($117 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 18.2 billion Turkish liras ($2.1 billion).
The highest trading volumes were posted by national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, private lender Garanti BBVA and iron and steel producer Kardemir.
Shares of real estate investment trust Ihlas Gayrimenkul (IHLGM) performed the best, rising 6.54%, while stocks of automotive manufacturer Karsan (KARSN) suffered the worst, falling 9.85%.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,889.60 by market close, down from $1,895.00 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $71.44 per barrel as of 6:11 p.m. local time (1511GMT).
