BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - The US and Albania on Monday reaffirmed their intention to boost bilateral relations.
In an official visit to Albanian capital Tirana, US Permanent Representative to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield met with President Bajram Begaj and Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Begaj said advancing relations between the two countries would be important for regional stability and global security.
He added that Tirana hoped to further deepen its strategic partnership with Washington.
For his part, Rama underlined that both sides attached importance to the cooperation they shared.
Greenfield echoed these sentiments, saying that the US valued its cooperation and partnership with the Albanian government and people.
