WASHINGTON (AA) - The US is closely monitoring the situation in Bolivia amid reports of a coup attempt in the South American nation, a White House spokesperson said Wednesday.
Washington is also calling for calm and restraint, the spokesperson said.
The remarks came immediately after Bolivian President Luis Arce denounced an "irregular mobilization" of some units of the army amid reports of a coup attempt.
