WASHINGTON (AA) - Henry Cuellar, a US congressman, was carjacked at gunpoint in the capital Washington, D.C. late Monday, according to reports.
The incident occurred at the junction of K Street and New Jersey Avenue in Southeast DC's Navy Yard neighborhood, CNN reported, citing an alert from the DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency.
Robbers took the Texas representative's vehicle and luggage, according to The Washington Post.
Authorities are reportedly searching for three male suspects. At least one of the carjackers was armed with a gun.
Cuellar was not harmed in the incident.
