ISTANBUL (AA) - US construction spending rose 0.1% to $2,148.8 billion in September, figures from the Commerce Department showed Friday.
Construction spending, one of the major indicators of well-being in the construction sector, was expected to show no change in the ninth month, according to market estimates.
The figure for August stood at $2,146.0 billion for a monthly increase of 0.1%.
Annually, the reading in September was 4.6% above the same month in 2023, when it stood at $2,055.2 billion.
