ANKARA (AA) - US factory orders climbed $8.4 billion, or 1.6%, to $531.8 billion in November, its 18th month-on-month rise in 19 months, the US Commerce Department said on Thursday.
The market expectation was a monthly rise of 1.5%, while the October figure was revised upward from a 1% increase to 1.2%, amounting to $523.4 billion.
New orders for manufactured durable goods in November went up $6.7 billion or 2.6% to $268.4 billion.
Transportation equipment led the increase in durable goods, which soared $5.0 billion or 6.5% to $82.1 billion.
