WASHINGTON (AA) - The U.S. on Friday lifted visa requirements for Polish passport holders for 90-day visits for business and vacation.
U.S. President Donald Trump made the announcement that Poland is included in the Visa Waiver Program, following several meetings between the two countries.
Trump also said nearly 1,000 American troops serving in Europe will be relocated to Poland upon a request from Warsaw.
Poland became the 39th country to take place in the Visa Waiver Program, the State Department said in a statement.
The program was created in 1986 by Congress that has since passed legislation amending qualifying criteria that allows more countries to participate.
