WASHINGTON (AA) - The US conducted airstrikes against several Daesh/ISIS camps in Syria, killing as many as 35 Daesh/ISIS operatives, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said Wednesday.
"The strikes targeted multiple ISIS locations in the Syrian desert, targeting multiple ISIS senior leaders," CENTCOM said in a statement about the strikes on Monday.
There are no indications of civilian casualties, it added.
"The airstrikes will disrupt the ability of ISIS to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against civilians, as well as U.S., allies, and partners throughout the region and beyond," it said, adding the US, alongside its allies and partners in the region, will continue to "aggressively degrade ISIS operational capabilities to ensure its enduring defeat."
