ANKARA (AA) - New home sales in the US fell in January, according to a report by the Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development that was published Thursday.
Sales of new single‐family homes came in at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 801,000, which was a 4.5% decline from the revised December rate of 839,000.
New home sales, which shows the number of new single-family homes sold, was estimated to come in at 806,000 last month.
On an annual basis, the January figure was 19.3% below the same month in 2021 when it stood at 993,000.
The median price of new houses was $423,300, while the average price was $496,900.
