ISTANBUL (AA) - New home sales in the US plummeted 4.7% in April from the previous month, according to a report Thursday by the Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Sales of new single‐family homes were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 634,000.
New home sales, which show the number of new single-family homes sold, were estimated to come in at 677,000 last month.
The figure for March was revised to 665,000 from 693,000 for a monthly gain of 5.4%.
Annually, new home sales in April were 7.7% below the same month in 2023 when the figure stood at 687,000.
The median sale price of new homes sold was $433,500 in April while the average sales price was $505,700.
