ISTANBUL (AA) - New home sales in the US increased 4.1% in September from the previous month, according to a report Thursday by the Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Sales of new single‐family homes were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 738,000.
New home sales, which show the number of new single-family homes sold, were estimated to come in at 719,000 last month.
The figure for August was revised down to 709,000 from 739,000 for a monthly decrease of 2.3%.
Annually, new home sales in September were 6.3% above the same month in 2023 when the figure stood at 694,000.
The median sale price of new homes sold was $426,300 in September and the average sales price was $501,000.
