IZMIR, Turkey (AA) - The oil rig count in the US rose last week, according to the latest data released by oilfield services company Baker Hughes.
The number of oil rigs, an indicator of short-term production in the country, increased by six to 450 for the week ending Nov. 5 from 444 the previous week, according to the data released on Friday.
The number of US oil rigs rose by 224 compared to a year ago.
At Friday's trading close, the price of international benchmark Brent crude stood at $82.89 per barrel, while American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was at $81.55 a barrel.
