ISTANBUL (AA) - Americans' personal income rose 0.3% in June, less than market expectations, according to official figures released Friday.
Personal income climbed $69.5 billion from the previous month, according to data from the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis.
The figure came below market expectations of a 0.5% increase.
Personal income for May was revised upward to a gain of 0.5%, from an increase of 0.4%.
Disposable personal income, which is personal income less personal current taxes, rose $67.5 billion, or 0.3%, in June, said the bureau.
"The increase in current-dollar personal income in June primarily reflected an increase in compensation that was partly offset by a decrease in personal income receipts on assets," it said in a statement.
