ANKARA (AA) – US President Joe Biden expressed his frustration with Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and X, and his wealthy friends for "trying to buy" the presidential election.

After testing positive for COVID-19, Biden made a statement on X, calling on those who agree with him to donate to his campaign.

"I'm sick," Biden tweeted, followed by another tweet that read, "of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election. And if you agree, pitch in here."

On July 13, Musk posted on his X account, "I fully support President (Donald) Trump and hope for his speedy recovery," openly supporting the former US president for the first time since an assassination attempt.

According to a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report published on Wednesday, Musk allegedly intends to donate around $45 million per month to America PAC, a new political action committee supporting Trump’s presidential campaign.
