WASHINGTON (AA) - US Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell froze during a weekly news conference on Wednesday.

The Republican senator appeared to freeze momentarily and went silent before being escorted away as he was giving opening remarks in Congress.

Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming griped McConnell’s arm.

When McConnell returned to the briefing minutes later, he was asked if it was related to his fall earlier this year.

"I'm fine," he responded.
