WASHINGTON (AA) - Multiple shots were fired at the National Security Agency's Ft. Meade, Maryland, headquarters Wednesday after a car attempted to enter the agency's entrance without authorization.
Multiple individuals were transferred to a nearby hospital, but initial indications are their injuries were not gunfire-related, the agency said in a statement.
The FBI is currently leading the investigation, the agency added.
Media footage of the scene shows a black sports utility vehicle after its appears to have crashed into concrete barriers.
The White House confirmed President Donald Trump has been briefed on the incident.
