ISTANBUL (AA) - US stock exchanges opened with gains on Wednesday.
The Dow Jones rose 61 points, or 0.18%, to 34,913 at 9.33 am EDT (1333GMT), while the S&P 500 added six points, or 0.14%, to 4,504
The Nasdaq, meanwhile, increased 23 points, or 0.17%, to 13,967.
The VIX volatility index, also known as the fear index, fell 0.9% to 14.33, while the 10-year US Treasury yield declined 0.7% to 4.094%.
The dollar index was down 0.4% to 103.13 and the euro rose 0.45% to $1.0926 against the greenback.
Precious metals were in positive territory, with gold adding 0.5% to $1,947 per ounce and silver increasing 1.1% to $24.99.
Oil prices were up around 0.6%, with global benchmark Brent crude at $85.39 per barrel and US benchmark West Texas Intermediate at $81.78.
