NEW YORK (AA) - The stock market closed lower Thursday with decline in technology companies' stocks and key macroeconomic data missing expectations.
The Dow fell 14 points to 21,359 and the S&P lost five points to 2,432.
The Nasdaq decreased 29 points to finish trading at 6,165 points.
E-commerce giant Amazon saw its stock price decline 1.3 percent, while Apple and Microsoft shares fell 0.6 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively.
Industrial production remained unchanged in May, the U.S. Federal Reserve announced earlier. The market expectation was a 0.2 percent increase.
Manufacturing production decreased 0.4 percent in May, while it was estimated to rise 0.1 percent, according to the Fed.
