NEW YORK (AA) - Wall Street opened higher Monday as investors looked forward to a speech from Federal Reserve Vice President Stanley Fischer later.
The Dow Jones added 23 points to open at 18,161. The S&P 500 was up 2 points to 2,135 and the Nasdaq began the day flat at 5.214 with less than a point gain.
The stock market could face losses if Fischer’s remarks signal a rate hike later this year, analysts warned.
