NEW YORK (AA) - Wall Street opened higher on Monday after gains in European stock markets created a positive sentiment in the U.S.
The Dow Jones was up 113 points to begin the day at 18,258 and the S&P 500 gained 10 points to 2,152 while the Nasdaq increased 35 points to start the day at 5,292.
When Wall Street opened, Germany's DAX index was up 0.90 percent, while Euronext 100 posted a 0.56 percent increase, and France's CAC 40 saw a 0.67 percent gain.
