NEW YORK (AA) - The stock market opened higher Friday with a rise in crude oil prices.
The Dow added 49 points to begin the last trading day of the week at 19,901. The S&P 500 was up four points at 2,266.
The Nasdaq rose 11 points to start trading at 5,468.
At the opening bell, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was trading at $51.36 a barrel – a 1.2 percent hike.
International benchmark Brent crude was up 1.5 percent to $54.69.
