NEW YORK (AA) - The stock market opened with gains on Wednesday to begin the last trading day of May on a higher note.
The Dow added 10 points to begin trading at 21,040 points and the S&P 500 rose 2 points to 2,415 points.
The Nasdaq increased 17 points to start the day at 6,220 points.
General Motors saw its stock price gain by 1 percent at the first bell, while Southwest Airlines shares increased by 0.4 percent.
