NEW YORK (AA) - The U.S. stock market opened higher on Tuesday.
The Dow rose 93 points to begin the day at 21,984 points, opening at a record high level.
The S&P 500 added 8 points to start trading at 2,478 points, and the Nasdaq gained 24 points to open at 6,372 points.
Personal spending rose 0.1 percent in June, compared to the month before, while personal income remained unchanged, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced earlier Tuesday.
