NEW YORK (AA) - The stock market opened lower Thursday as investors have focused on the House of Representatives vote on new health care bill.
The Dow fell 20 points to open at 20,640 and the S&P was down three points to 2,345.
The Nasdaq decreased eight points to begin trading at 5,812.
The House of Representatives may hold a vote for the American Health Care Act as soon as Thursday to replace the Affordable Care Act, i.e. Obamacare.
Failure to pass the new bill may hamper investors' confidence in the Trump administration, which can lead to losses in the market, analysts warn.
