NEW YORK (AA) - The U.S. stock market opened lower Friday with a decline in crude oil prices.
The Dow lost 50 points to begin trading at 21,561 points, and the S&P 500 fell 5 points to 2,468 points.
The Nasdaq fell 12 points to start the last trading day of the week at 6,377 points.
At the first bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate was trading at $46.69 per barrel with a 0.6 percent decline, while international benchmark Brent crude was at $49.10 a barrel -- a 0.5 percent decrease.
