NEW YORK (AA) - U.S. stock markets opened mixed Tuesday.
The Dow Jones fell nine points to begin trading at 19,790.
The S&P 500 added one point to open at 2,267 and the Nasdaq was up 13 points to 5,566.
At the first bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate was down 0.8 percent to $53.09 a barrel, while international benchmark Brent crude was at $55.52 – a 0.6 percent fall.
