NEW YORK (AA) - The stock market opened mixed with a fall in investment bank stocks and a rise in technology company shares.
The Dow fell 15 points to begin trading at 21,622 points, and the S&P 500 lost less than a point to open flat at 2,458 points.
The Nasdaq decreased five points to start the first trading day of the week at 6,317 points.
At the first bell, investment banks JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America shares were down 0.8 percent and 0.7 percent, respectively.
E-commerce giant Amazon shares were up 1 percent, while Facebook's stock price gained 0.3 percent.
