NEW YORK (AA) - U.S. stock markets opened lower Monday amid declining oil prices.
The Dow fell 164 points to begin the day at 20,432 and the S&P 500 was down 19 points to reach 2,324 points.
The Nasdaq lost 55 points to start trading the new week at 5,773 points.
At the first bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was trading at $47.20 a barrel, a 1.6 percent decline. International benchmark Brent crude was at $50.30 per barrel -- a 1.2 percent loss.
