ANKARA (AA) - Major indices in the US stock market closed mixed Wednesday with Netflix shares diving because of a loss of subscribers.
The Dow Jones was up 249.8 points, or 0.72%, to close at 35,161.
The S&P 500 lost 2.4 points, or 0.05%, to reach 4,460.
Tech-heavy Nasdaq fell 166.6 points, or 1.22%, to 13,453.
Netflix stock price plummeted more than 36% after the company announced its first loss of subscribers in over 10 years.
The yield on 10-year US Treasury notes fell 1.02% to 2.848%, while the dollar index decreased 0.64% to 100.32.
The VIX volatility index, known as the fear index, was down 3.37% to 20.65.
Precious metals were mixed with gold adding 0.01% to $1,959 but silver losing 0.35% to $25.30.
Global oil benchmark Brent crude was trading at $107.22, slightly down 0.03%, while US benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was at $102.43, gaining 0.37%.
