ISTANBUL (AA) - The US trade deficit for goods rose 2.6% to $91.2 billion in July, according to data released Wednesday.
The trade deficit, which is the difference between imported and exported goods, saw a gain of approximately $2.3 billion from $88.8 billion in June, the Commerce Department’s Census Bureau said in a report.
The expectation was for the figure to come in at $89.9 billion.
Exports of goods in July were $164.8 billion, which were $2.4 billion more than June exports, according to the report.
Last month, imports of goods were $256.0 billion -- $4.7 billion more than June imports.
