ISTANBUL (AA) - US President Joe Biden spoke by phone with his United Arab Emirates counterpart Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Wednesday about the Israel-Palestine conflict and humanitarian aid, according to a White House statement.
The two leaders discussed "the terrorist attacks on Israel" and Biden stressed “his condemnation of Hamas’s terror and his warning against anyone who might seek to exploit the current situation,” the statement said.
They also discussed "the history of relations between the UAE and the United States and the steadfast US commitment to peace and security in the region,” it said.
Biden and Al Nahyan also agreed to remain in close contact.
