US wholesale inventories fall 0.1% in May

Inventories up 3.6% annually

ISTANBUL (AA) - US wholesale inventories in May decreased 0.1%, compared to the previous month, according to Commerce Department data released Wednesday.

The figure, which measures the change in the total value of goods held in inventory by wholesalers, was estimated at $912.9 billion.

The April figure was revised from a decline of 0.1% to a 0.3% decrease.

Annually, wholesale inventories in May were up 3.6% compared to the same month last year.
