ISTANBUL (AA) - US wholesale inventories increased by 0.2% in September compared to the previous month, according to Commerce Department figures released Wednesday.
The figure, which measures the change in the total value of goods held in inventory by wholesalers, was at $901.8 billion at the end of September, it said in a statement.
The market expectation for wholesale inventories was to show no change in September.
The figure for August was $900.3 billion, which was unrevised at a contraction of 0.1%.
Annually, wholesale inventories in September were down 1.2% compared to the same month of last year.
