TASHKENT, Uzbekistan (AA) – Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Donald Trump on Wednesday on his election as the 47th president of the United States, extending an invitation for an official visit to Uzbekistan.
In a statement from the Presidential Press Office, Mirziyoyev praised Trump’s victory, noting it reflects the strong support of the American people for his vision to boost the US’s global influence and economic strength.
Mirziyoyev highlighted the productive ties established during Trump’s first term which led to a new phase of strategic partnership between the two countries marked by cooperation in trade, security and humanitarian efforts.
He affirmed Uzbekistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and regional cooperation under the “C5+1” diplomatic platform.
“We look forward to welcoming you in Uzbekistan to further elevate our comprehensive partnership,” Mirziyoyev said.
