Uzbek president visits Turkish Aerospace Industries in Ankara

Gokbey, Atak, and Hurkus jets manufactured by TAI performed stunt flying in front of Uzbek President Mirziyoyev

ANKARA (AA) – Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Thursday paid a visit to aviation firm Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) in Türkiye’s capital of Ankara.

During his visit to Ankara at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Mirziyoyev saw aircraft produced by the aviation firm.

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, National Security Minister Yasar Guler, and President of the Turkish Defense Industries Secretariat Haluk Gorgun accompanied the Uzbek president during his visit.

Gokbey, Atak, and Hurkus jets manufactured by TAI performed stunt flying in front of the Uzbek president.

Following the flights, Mirziyoyev toured the area and spoke with Gorgun and other officials about the weapons and equipment manufactured at the facility.

He also examined Kaan, a homegrown fighter jet, and the Anka unmanned aerial vehicle (drone).
