BOGOTA, Columbia (AA) - Venezuela strongly condemned a large-scale military operation launched by Israel in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement on Telegram, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil expressed deep concern over the recent Israeli military action, emphasizing that these attacks have dangerously escalated tensions in the region.
The Venezuelan government denounced the assaults on Jenin, Tulkarm, Tubas and other Palestinian areas which caused deaths and injuries.
The statement further criticized Israel for committing what it described as genocidal acts against the Palestinian people since Oct. 7 last year. It condemned the ongoing violence in Gaza and the West Bank, likening Israel's actions to "Neo-Nazi methods."
Venezuela also rebuked international actors for their perceived hypocrisy in the face of Israel's systematic aggression.
Venezuela called on the global community to take decisive action against Israel's crimes, reaffirming its solidarity with the Palestinian people and extending its condolences to the families affected by the violence.
Earlier reports indicated that at least 10 Palestinians were killed and many others injured, some critically, in the Israeli army's operations across the West Bank, including simultaneous attacks in Jenin and Tulkarm as well as raids on the Al-Faria refugee camp and other locations.
