German Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich announced on Wednesday that Vincent Kompany has been appointed as the club's new manager.
The Belgian coach signed a deal valid until 2027, the statement added.
The 38-year-old young manager led Burnley to win the EFL Championship (English 2nd-tier league) in the 2022-23 season.
He also trained Belgian club Anderlecht between 2020 and 2022.
Manchester City legend enjoyed a successful playing career including four English Premier League and two FA Cup title wins with Manchester City.
Former manager Thomas Tuchel has lately been rumored to leave the German club after finishing the 2023-24 season in the Bundesliga at the third spot.
