NEW YORK (AA) - Wall Street closed higher Monday after gains in European stock markets created a positive sentiment across the Atlantic.
The Dow Jones was up 77 points to end the day at 18,223 and the S&P 500 added 10 points to 2,151 while the Nasdaq increased 52 points to finish the day at 5,309.
All three indexes closed at their highest levels in the last two weeks.
At the final bell, Germany's DAX index was up 0.47 percent, while Euronext 100 posted a 0.17 percent increase. France's CAC 40 saw a 0.36 percent gain.
