NEW YORK (AA) – Wall Street closed lower Thursday with decline in stock prices of major American banks.
The Dow fell 63 points to end the day at 19,891. The S&P declined four points to 2,270.
The Nasdaq decreased 16 points to finish trading at 5,547.
Citigroup and JP Morgan Chase saw their share value fell by 1.2 percent and 1 percent, respectively. Goldman Sachs shares declined by 0.8 percent.
Markets and investors have focused on 2016 fourth quarter earnings of JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo to be announced Friday.
