NEW YORK (AA) - Wall Street closed lower Tuesday as stock prices of major American banks declined.
The Dow fell 58 points to end the first trading day of the week at 19,826. S&P 500 lost six points to 2,267.
The Nasdaq decreased 35 points to finish the day at 5,538.
Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase saw their shares fell by 4.2 percent and 3.6 percent, respectively. Wells Fargo and Citigroup stock prices declined by 2.8 percent and 2.1 percent, respectively.
