NEW YORK (AA) – Wall Street closed lower Tuesday with falling crude prices.
The Dow Jones lost 53 points to end at 18,169. The S&P 500 was down eight points to 2,143 and the Nasdaq ended 26 points lower at 5,283.
At the final bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate was trading at $49.82 per barrel -- a 1.3 percent decline. International benchmark Brent crude was at $50.63 -- a 1.5 percent loss.
Investors on Wednesday will closely watch U.S. crude and gasoline inventories report.
