NEW YORK (AA) – Wall Street closed lower Friday with a drop in oil prices.
The Dow Jones was down 28 points to end the day at 18,240 and the S&P lost 10 points to finish at 2,150. The Nasdaq fell 11 points to 5,289.
For the week, the Dow and Nasdaq were each down 0.4 percent while the S&P 500 lost 0.7 percent.
At the final bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate was down 1.7 percent to $49.59 per barrel, while international benchmark Brent crude traded at $51.66 -- a 1.6 percent loss.
