NEW YORK (AA) – Wall Street closed lower Tuesday with declines in oil prices and technology losses.
The Dow Jones was down 85 points to end the day at 18,168 and the S&P lost 10 points to finish at 2,150. The Nasdaq fell 11 points to 5,289.
At the final bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate was down 0.4 percent to $48.63 per barrel, while international benchmark Brent crude traded at $50.81 -- a 0.1 percent loss.
American telecommunications giant AT&T saw its shares plummet 2.1 percent, while the Twitter's stock fell 2 percent and shares of Hewlett Packard decreased 1.8 percent.
