NEW YORK (AA) - Wall Street closed mixed Wednesday after minutes of the Federal Reserve meeting showed an interest rate hike may be imminent.
The Dow added 32 points to finish the day at 20,775, closing at a record high for the ninth trading day in a row -- the longest run of record closes since 1987.
The S&P 500, however, lost two points to 2,362 and the Nasdaq fell five points to 5,860.
Minutes from the Fed's Jan.31-Feb.1 meeting showed the central bank's next rate hike may happen "fairly soon" if economic indicators align with the bank's expectations.
