NEW YORK (AA) - Indexes in Wall Street closed at record highs Tuesday to continue a winning streak on the first trading day of the week.
The Dow added 117 points to 20,741 and the S&P 500 rose 14 points to 2,365.
The Nasdaq climbed 27 points to end the day at 5,865.
While the Dow finished at an all-time high for the eighth trading day in a row, the S&P and the Nasdaq marked their ninth daily gains in the past 10 sessions.
At the final bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate was up 1.1 percent to $54.37 and international benchmark Brent crude was trading at $56.69 -- a 0.9 percent increase.
Wall Street was closed on Monday in observance of the Presidents' Day holiday.
