NEW YORK (AA) – Technology stocks posted gains Monday to help two of the three indexes on the U.S. stock market end in record territory.
The Dow added 144 points to finish the day at 21,528 and the S&P rose 20 points to 2,453. Both indexes closed at record high levels.
The Nasdaq increased 87 points to end at 6,239 points.
At the final bell, Facebook posted a gain of 1.5 percent, while Apple rose 2.9 percent and Microsoft gained 1.2 percent.
