ANKARA (AA) – Watford on Monday appointed former Croatia and West Ham United head coach Slaven Bilic, the English Championship club confirmed.
"Watford FC confirms Slaven Bilic as its new Head Coach on an 18-month contract, subject to receiving the relevant work permit," the club said in a statement.
Bilic, 54, replaced Rob Edwards as the Hornets sacked the Welsh head coach.
The Croatian head coach previously managed the Turkish club Besiktas in 2013-2015, then coached West Ham United, Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad, English West Bromwich Albion, and China's Beijing Guoan.
Bilic is an ex-Croatia player and national team coach.
This season Watford have 14 points in 10 matches to come 10th in England's second-tier Championship division.
