ANKARA (AA) - Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal sparked a win for the Washington Wizards against the Portland Trail Blazers, combined for 64 points in a 118-111 victory on Saturday.
Wizards point guard Westbrook posted a triple-double with 27 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds in Portland.
Beal scored 37 points. The shooting guard also had seven rebounds.
Home team Trail Blazers' point guard Damian Lillard had a double-double as the 30-year-old scored 35 points and 12 assists.
The Wizards had their fourth straight win, they have a 10-17 win/loss record this season.
The Trail Blazers won 18 games but lost 11 others in the 2020-21 NBA campaign.
- Rozier scores buzzer-beater to stun Warriors
The Charlotte Hornets had a 102-100 home victory against the Golden State Warriors as Terry Rozier scored a buzzer-beater from the left corner.
The Warriors led 100-98 when Gordon Hayward managed to salvage a timeout during a scuffle with Draymond Green. Green was not happy with the call, argued with the referees and got his second technical foul to be ejected.
In the last possession, the game was tied at 100 when Rozier dribbled to the left corner and hit a tough fadeaway leaner.
Rozier produced 36 points to be the game's top scorer. The 26-year-old guard scored 20 points in the fourth quarter.
Kelly Oubre Jr. led the Warriors, scoring 25 points against the Hornets.
Warriors' superstar Stephen Curry did not play in this match as the 32-year-old playmaker guard did not feel well.
