NEW YORK (AA) - A woman who was driving with a Palestinian flag on her car in Canada became the target of hate speech by another female driver, according to a video on social media.
The driver in Montreal told the Tunisian woman that she "should be raped in front of her kids" for having a Palestinian flag on her car, according to a post on X.
The driver accused the Tunisian woman of "dressing Hamas" and called her an "idiot."
The victim avoided getting into an argument but the aggressor tried to defend herself by saying: "I am not attacking you."
National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) wrote on X that the attacker "also allegedly rammed the woman's car."
"And there are many more incidents like this. We are receiving a disturbing amount of reports of Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism from across Canada," it wrote.
"From schools and university campuses to public transport, Palestinians and Muslims (especially hijab wearing women) are bearing the brunt of this rise of intolerance. It has to stop," it added.
